"My name is Felecia G. and I have a B.A in Law Enforcement Administration and Psychology. I tutored elementary students in reading and math in Chesapeake, VA public schools through a sponsorship with the U.S. Coast Guard for one year. I tutor my nephew during the summer months with reading and math, ages 7-8. I have a compassion to help others succeed with superb patience, understanding, and a caring heart. The most rewarding thing in the world to see, and that is, a child who feels good about him or herself because they have achieved the ability to learn. My love for tutoring is the reward at the end which is the successfulness of my tutoring that made a major difference in someone child's life. I love to see children smile and show me that they understand, the one on one attention that I can provide, and results in their grades. My love for tutoring means changing a student one by one through my training in college and beyond. I mentored young teenagers and young adults ages 20-24. Most importantly about me is that I care, I have patience, I understand obstacles that young children are challenged with, and therefore, as a team working together, there are no boundaries in learning with Ms. G. Tutoring is the extra learning tool that is sometimes given, not because lack thereof, but sometimes an advancement for a child to succeed beyond the realm of general learning. I understand the importance of education, the joy it brings when a child succeeds.
