"I love teaching and working with young people. My 14 years of teaching at the high school level as well as my varied experience working with children are paramount in my success as a tutor. pride myself on my ability to teach the same concept in many ways and my ability to create interesting lessons and practice activities to interest my students.

My teaching experience over the past 14 years includes teaching 9th, 10th and 11th grade English - reading, writing, and literature. I have excelled with all levels of students, successfully teaching advanced students through collaborative students and students with special needs. I have taught public speaking for grades 9-12. My experience coaching VHSL Forensics has bolstered my ability to build confidence and prepare my students for life in high school and beyond. I have done extensive work with the VA English SOL test, both teaching 11th grade SOL as well as remediation for the 8th and 11th grade reading and writing SOL tests.
