"Hi! My name is Jessi and I love a good math problem. For me, working through a math problem can be a fun, but challenging way to work my brain. I love helping students find a similar passion in working with numbers. I know what kind of mistakes are commonly made, how to fix them, and how to help work through problems in multiple methods to find the way that makes sense to you.

After I graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in education and a minor in math, I taught in the classroom - middle school math and high school algebra for four years, fifth grade for one year and first grade for one year, though I left the classroom after that to start my family. I continued helping students through private, one-on-one tutoring in elementary, middle school, and high school math for an additional 5 years.

Most recently, I have been tutoring middle school math and pre-algebra online, supporting students struggling with remote learning due to the pandemic. My favorite subjects are Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, but I can help work through just about any kind of math. I look forward to working with you to meet your math goals and ignite that same passion for learning. I have worked with students at all levels and abilities, and I can connect with students to meet their needs, whether it’s to get ahead, catch up, or just keep up.
