"I am certified in reading, writing, spelling, literature, and proofreading. For the past four and one-half years I have been employed as a religious education director at a local church, with children ages infant to high school. Previous to this, I raised two children of my own, and I also worked as a volunteer in the schools and for Buncombe County libraries in their preschool reading program. I have also taken several classes at UNCA in elementary education.

I love to work with elementary-aged children in particular as they develop their early reading and writing skills. Books, reading, and the wealth of available children's literature are one of my passions and I love to impart that to children. I also do a lot of writing and editing in other job-related activities, so I can help with that as well. I look at each child as an individual and will work with your child to develop their strengths and ways of learning.
