"Hi, I’m Wade! It is so nice to (virtually) meet you. Thanks for stopping by my tutoring profile. I am a first generation college graduate with a degree in sociology and geography, which happen to be my absolute favorite subjects to learn about! I have always been a huge social studies nerd from childhood all the way through college and I knew I wanted to continue that journey in my undergraduate studies. I have taken classes that ranged from environmental sociology, social gerontology, and even a class on urban geography. I think my favorite classes were medical geography and this demography class I took my senior year of college. I currently work in museum education where I have daily educational interactions with students, community members, and other guests of the museum. My museum focuses on the Gulf of Mexico and it’s maritime traditions. This can range from environmental sciences, maritime history, and even ship building and navigation! I also plan educational activities, classroom lessons, and lead field trips with local schools. Fields trips are my absolute favorite because I get to hang out with some cool kiddos and talk about some awesome topics all in a super fun and interactive environment. I’m also about to start graduate studies this fall and hopefully obtain my masters degree which has always been a goal of mine. I would be the first member of my family with a masters degree! How cool is that! :P

I have experience taking the ACT and tutoring others in high school to perform well on these sections. I personally scored a 32 on both the reading and English portions. This allowed me to skip freshman composition at my university. I also took writing intensive classes while obtaining my bachelors. I have extensive experience in writing for the social sciences and for research as well. This comes from multiple funded research projects I completed while in college.
