"I have been a classroom teacher of science for 12 years, including 4 years of AP Physics. My math background and lifelong pursuit of astronomy enable me to tutor in astronomy and algebra with a high degree of expertise.

I generally start tutoring by answering specific questions from the student. This takes care of the student's urgent needs. Then, as I get to know the student and identify areas of weakness, I work intensively to develop the student's ability to independently master those areas.

The student is always encouraged to interupt me any time they don't understand. I am very good at finding alternative ways to explain things. My ability to reach students at all levels is outstanding.
