"I attended Alameda HS. After graduating from AHS, I did not go straight into a four years institution, instead, I went to CC (Laney, COA) for two years. Later, I transferred to UC Davis in 2016 and graduated with a major in Biological Science and a minor in Community Nutrition in 2018. I am currently a second-year student attaining Samuel Merritt University for Doctor of Physical Therapy program. I started working with students since I was a senior in high school. I was hired by a local tutoring center helping students age between TK-10th grade to thrive. I worked at the tutoring center from Dec 2013 to June 2019. Where I had been appointed as the summer camp volunteer coordinator two times and head tutor for various grade level from 2015-2019. I also have two years of private tutoring experiences where I work with students specifically on math and help them become successful and catch up if they were behind. In addition, I also do test prep with students to help them understand the concepts and ask them questions in different ways. (References available upon request.) I was also a TA for the human anatomy class at Laney Fall 2019 semester. I have to interact with the student by giving them different suggestions or ideas on how to study for upcoming tests where they will be tested on a lot of materials. It is my goal to help them learn effectively and help them be as successful as I was when I took the class in the Spring semester. Therefore, I have a lot of experience working with students from different grades/age groups. Last but not least, I was volunteering with Sutter Health in San Francisco where I have to pass background check and go through an interview (volunteer program is temporarily suspended due to COVID -19).
