"Science is poetry in motion." Do you struggle with science? I used to as well! I had a tutor that changed my entire mindset about science and its many disciplines. After discovering this newfound love for science, I graduated high school and went to Duquesne University to study biology.

During my early years at Duquesne, I participated in various research programs and even contributed to program development for the Omnimax Theater at the Carnegie Science Center. While I loved the research aspect of the sciences, I quickly realized that my passion stemmed from sharing my knowledge of the sciences with those around me. I began tutoring for the university and then completed courses to earn my Master's in Secondary Science Education. During this time, I transitioned to the Science on the Road program at the Carnegie Science Center and became a presenter. My days were filled with traveling to schools throughout the Tri-State area and presenting over forty mobile learning experiences to the students at various school locations.

In addition to my teaching experience post-graduation in 2009, I have also traveled throughout Asia to recruit and provide education to students abroad. Presently, I am a full-time teacher at Perseus House Charter School of Excellence - Leadership Center, where I teach Keystone Biology and Environment and Ecology.

My teaching style is hands-on, energetic and I am a firm believer in learning by doing. My lessons are designed to provide familiarity with content material to allow you to work through and understand various examples of the content applications being acquired. I like to close my lessons by using an activity that engages multiple modes of learning to solidify and bring life to the material that we learn together.
