"I have 20 years of combined teaching experience in levels from preschool through adult school. I have taught in public, private, charter, and adult schools in several states. In addition to my teaching experience, my husband and I have raised three children; ages 20, 18, and 17. Each of our children faced significant challenges in their education journey and I know being a parent and walking them through their challenges has enriched my teaching immeasurably.

I am adept at individualized instruction techniques. I am familiar with a handy toolbox of tricks and tools to help students succeed. I am compassionate, intuitive, and creative. I understand that before any learning can take place, a foundation of trust and mutual respect must be built. I have a quick sense of humor and genuinely love students. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a student push through a barrier to a new personal best.

Writing and speaking skills are more important than ever. Students who can present themselves well will perform better on tests and in school subjects. Although computers have opened many doors to information, students have been conditioned to think on a surface level.
