"Hi! My name is Krista and I am from Utah. I was born and raised in Virginia, which is where my love of history came from. I joined the Army when I was 21 and served 7 years, traveling all over the world! I graduated from Dixie State University with my bachelor's in Secondary Education with a teaching license in Social Science Composite in May 2020. I started my first teaching job in August 2020 at a charter school. I have been tutoring for over two years at a boarding school in southern Utah, and love it.

I love that I am able to have one on one lessons with students to make sure they are getting the attention and dedication they deserve. One of my most favorite things about teaching is the look on a student's face when they understand or realize they love learning about history. I love to instill confidence in my students and teach overall wellbeing.

I have studied history since before I attended University while I was traveling the world in the Army. While at Dixie State University, I specialized in East Asian History. I wrote a research paper that was accepted by the history fraternity, Phi Alpha Theta Annual History Conference. I am qualified to teach American History, World History, Sociology, Psychology, Government, Geography, and Religion.
