"I have been tutoring high school and college students for Wyzant for several years. Previously I taught high school English for 25 years with the last 10 years teaching English to all International Baccalaureate seniors. During the 25 years I taught regular, honors, college-prep, advanced placement, and International Baccalaureate students. Since retiring I have had private tutoring students and also was the English tutor for the Wichita State University athletes.

I especially try to simplify the learnng of grammar, punctuation, and writing to make the concepts as easy as possible to understand. In writing I can help with writing introductions with clear thesis statements, well-organized and developed paragraphs with assigned support, effective conclusions, in-text MLA citations and works cited pages; APA format; research including use of scholarly, peer-reviewed research sources; and proofreading/editing I can offer assistance with English papers including narrative, persuasive/argumentative, definition, cause/effect, comparison/contrast, research, analysis, argumentative, and literature analysis.
