"Hi! My name is Ben and I'm an experienced teacher, academic coach, content tutor, and test prep instructor who has been working with students since 2014. My goal is to offer engaging, personalized, and affordable academic support and services for students and families.

My journey as an educator started shortly after college when I completed my TEFL certification and moved to South Korea to teach English. After this experience, I completed my Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Northern Colorado. Upon graduation, I became a Director of Education for a local tutoring, test prep and academic coaching company and managed the organization for 5+ years. After missing the classroom, I returned and taught middle and high school full time in Denver. I have recently moved to West Des Moines, IA where I am working full-time as a tutor, academic coach, and college admissions advisor.

I currently provide tutoring and academic support in the following areas:

-College Admissions Advising (Selection, Essays, Scholarships, Internships, Applications)

-Academic Coaching (Organization, Time Management, ADHD/Executive Functioning Support, Note-taking, Self-Advocacy, Test Preparation, General Study Skills)

-Advanced Placement (AP): Literature, Language, US History, Human Geography, World History

-Test Preparation: ACT, SAT, ISEE, HSPT, PSAT

-Math: Elementary - Algebra 2 / Trig

-English / Writing: Elementary - College
