"Hi, I'm Destinie! I'm a former teacher and instructional coach who loves partnering with learners of all ages. I have over 10 years of experience as a tutor and 6 years of experience as an elementary classroom teacher. I believe that fun and purpose are essential in learning and integrate those components into every session. With me, you can expect to start a lesson with an ignite, then learn a chunk of new information. Next, we'll "chew" on the new learning with some practice, and end each session with a review to solidify the concept or topic and a short interview for feedback and some next steps.

I am here to support learners who may need additional support in elementary reading, writing, math, social studies, and science.

While I love teaching all subjects, math is my favorite by far. I have a postgraduate professional teaching license for PreK-6 and have created first-grade math curriculum maps for division-wide use. I am most proud of my most recent third-grade class- each student passed their end-of-year state math assessment.I have also worked as a reading interventionist to support some of the most dependent readers in a school.
