"I have many years of experience as a tutor and Olympic weightlifting coach. In both roles I believe that teaching should be focused around the learner. While teaching, I construct a supportive environment and do my best to adapt my teaching style to better suit my students. I typically work with high school students and college level students, but have experience with as young as elementary students.

One of my priorities is to also facilitate independence of the learner. In my first tutoring job I was told that my first responsibility was "to put myself out of business" by building up the student and giving them the tools to where they could be independent learners. I believe in the potential of any student actively seeking help. Most of my tutoring has been centered around high level math and chemistry. I also have great experience in tutoring statistics and experimental design. My degrees in civil and environmental engineering have also opened the doorway for me to tutor various engineering courses. Some of which courses I have been brought on by professors to hold special exam prep lessons.
