"Everyone can learn, but everyone learns in different ways. I teach best one-on-one, where I can determine the way that a student learns best and provide the needed individualized instruction.

I have tutored a family of home-schooled children in core subjects for four years, taught high school English for two years, and taught English as a second language to college students from 20 countries for four years. I have considerable real-world experience that includes the nonprofit, industry, and military sectors. While most of my teaching experience is in the English language arts, my engineering degree, professional experience, and tutoring experience provide a good foundation for teaching other subjects as well.

As a father, I am proud that all three of my children were early and advanced readers, but I also know the frustration when they have struggled in some classes. An impersonal education system often fails to provide the time and attention needed for authentic learning. That’s where I come in.
