"Hello, and thank you for reading my profile. I am currently working as a substitute teacher, and I am a retired educational diagnostician. You may ask, "What is a diagnostician?" A diagnostician is the person, along with the school psychologist, that tests students (IQ and achievement, usually) for eligibility for special education services. It is a great skill because I am fortunate enough to be able to help students reach their maximum potential, regardless of any disabilities they may have.

I possess a masters' degree in special education, and I have taught all grades, from K through college, although I'm most successful with middle school through high school-age students. My specialties are SAT/ACT preparation, math (algebra, geometry, etc.), and written expression. Nearly all my students have shown improvement in their overall understanding of the subject, their test and report card grades, and, most importantly, their ability to succeed independently. I'm quite proud of my previous success teaching at Sylvan Learning Center as well as in students' homes, which is where I enjoy the most success.

In conclusion, I am grateful to be a part of a student's education. My first priority is to teach how valuable learning can be and that it is a lifelong process for every successful person.
