"Hi there! My name is Amanda and I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. Throughout my college career, I studied English, Social Anthropology, History, and French.

I earned my M.A. in Social Anthropology also from the University of Edinburgh, and was able to combine my love of writing and reading with my interests in other cultures.

I have been a tutor as long as I can remember; throughout high school, I tutored middle school students as well as my fellow classmates, and continued to do so all throughout college. In my spare time, I freelance as a tutor for local high school and college students, and have helped with subjects ranging from English to Religion to Social History. I love to learn and I have always been an excellent student, and I enjoy helping others reach their full potential in any subject.

As the daughter of an English teacher, I was raised on excellent grammar and a love of reading! I am the go-to proofreader and copy editor for friends and family, and I worked as a proofreader throughout my four years at the University of Edinburgh. I completed at 20,000 word dissertation for my degree that earned the highest mark possible, and have since published a number of articles in the field of public health. I have a high success rate of helping students develop reading comprehension skills, and as a self-proclaimed grammar nerd, I've found ways to make learning grammar a little more fun for students who need it.
