"Hello! My name is Alexeya, and I am really looking forward to working with you. I have experience tutoring students from 5th grade to high school, and have worked with students in many subjects including French, middle school math, English, and general academic organizational strategy. I am currently a third year undergraduate at UMass Amherst studying agriculture, with a specific concentration in agricultural education, and education more broadly. I love working with both students and parents, and understand the difference an invested, personable, and creative educator can make in a student's educational path.

I have done high school advanced placement coursework in French, English, Calculus, Environmental Science, Computer Science, US History, World History, and Government, and I took an intensive French course my freshman year of college that allowed me to pass my French proficiency exam in Spring 2020. My favorite subjects are English and History, and I love working with students to bring out their critical thinking skills, and help them look at history and pieces of text through an interdisciplinary, and critical lens. These same critical thinking skills apply to working through math problems, and examining how these problem solving skills are applicable to real life.

I love spending time outdoors on a walk or reading a good book, and I am looking forward to when I can go back to school and physically be with other students and my teachers. I love music, and spend my free time singing and humming around the house, learning to play the guitar and harmonica, and listening to as much new music as I can get my hands on.
