I am a 2012 graduate of the TESLA certificate program at the Literacy Assistance Center in New York City. TESLA is Teaching English as a Second Language to Adults. A year before entering the program, I was already tutoring individual students and leading a weekly ESL conversation group at a public library.

While I no longer tutor in general ESL, that teaching experience has molded my expertise in assisting advanced English language learners with their writing projects. Perhaps you have mastered English as a second language but still need help with finer points. I will help you to attune vocabulary and syntax, for example, to be more effective with your readers.
