"I’m Sunghyun. I was born in South Korea but I grew up in the US. I am fluent in both Korean and English. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and minors in Chemistry and Psychology. I recently graduated from dental school and currently working as a dental resident. I have a strong background in science and math.

I try to bring my culture and academic background to my tutoring approach, and do everything I can to make learning a pleasant experience. I use lesson plans in which I usually introduce the topic in a fun and creative way, then explicitly teach the material. Afterwards I always ensure time for students to practice the material on their own. Of course, this method can be adjusted based on the subject and student’s individual needs.

I have a year of tutoring Korean, Math, and Science to elementary students to high school students. Most of my experiences was one-on-one tutoring which I could provide suitable guidance for each student.
