"Hello, I am a retired mathematics teacher and tutor.

Before I became a teacher, I tutored mathematics to individual students in their homes. I loved the rewards of helping them with their problems but more importantly, I loved how they were able to apply what they learned to similar or more difficult problems.

I am a credentialed teacher in both mathematics and French. My experience teaching students were in both a class situation and also on an individual level after school or in the mornings before the start of school.

The first teaching job I had was at a junior high school teaching Mathematics (General Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra) and French 1.

My last 20 years of experience at the Van Nuys Math-Science Magnet included all levels of mathematics classes including honor and AP Calculus A, B, and C classes. During that same period of time, I also received a Los Angeles Excellence in Education Award.

My most recent teaching was in 2018 and 2019 in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. I taught ESL to adults and tutored mathematics to Vietnamese students attending English International Schools.

I would like to point out a few items that pertain to my tutoring policies:

1. I do not require a cancellation notice for a canceled tutoring session.

2. There will be no charge for any consultation meeting.

Throughout my tenure as a mathematics teacher and tutor, I enjoyed helping students reach their goals.
