"Few things are more terrifying on test day than facing a problem that SHOULD be easy, but instead makes your head spin and riles your nerves, affecting your performance on the rest of the test.

My goal when tutoring you is to build up your arsenal of subject knowledge, question strategies and support tools to help you channel unshakeable confidence and focused thinking on test day.

SAT tutoring with me starts with creating a clear, achievable score goal, and a diagnosis of your section strengths and areas for improvement. Together we'll plug up any gaps in your content knowledge (such as polynomial equations, rhetorical strategy or punctuation rules), practice test-taking hacks and strategies, and identify supports that evoke your calm and confidence (like body posture or mindfulness). We'll track your progress with weekly homework and regular timed practice tests. You'll arrive at test day with confidence and a quiver of strategies for facing the SAT's tricky questions and endurance challenges.

As a teenager in the NYC suburbs, I scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT, and went on to study Music Composition and Environmental Studies at Oberlin College. In the years since, I’ve co-founded and run successful educational programs in environmental sustainability, Toastmasters public speaking, mindfulness meditation and improvisational theatre. I'm trained in SAT test prep by one of NYC's leading tutoring agencies, and have written and edited articles on high school test prep, math, wellness, remote learning and more.
