As a student, I was chosen to attend Kentucky Governors School for the Arts in Creative Writing. I scored Distinguished on all portfolio work in on demand writing while in high school. I attended the University of Kentucky where I was active in Journalism. My scholarly research and writing was chosen to be presented at the Undergraduate Honors Conference for the Southern States Communication Association. In my past career, I served in a Leadership position where I would often write and present effective speeches. I can help you in ANY area of reading, writing and test preparation in these areas. I currently attend the University of the Cumberland’s where I am obtaining a Master of Arts in Teaching, Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies, going on to be certified in Middle School Mathematics. I am currently a Math Academic Interventionist for grades 3rd & 4th; however can tutor through 7th grade. I developed a love of math later in my life, and also use a contextual approach, using the senses of hearing and seeing well, to enhance math learning and to TRULY learn it not just use tricks or rote memorization.
