My quant roots are very deep -- primarily thanks to my mother, who was a nuclear physicist. Rather than teaching me how to do excessively deep mathematics, she filled my mind with a better way to approach quant problems and tons of proven shortcuts and acceleration tools. Many of the techniques I teach my clients around visualizing quant problems, setting up equations and speedy calculations came from those early interactions with my mom.
