"Konnichiwa! My name is Yuko. I started my training in Japan as a Japanese language instructor in 1999. After I moved to the US in 2001, I worked at a local language school for about 10 years. It is my joy to see my students grow their language skills from zero to a level where they can communicate in Japanese comfortably.

I teach introductory to advanced level (Japanese Proficiency Test N5 to N1, CEFR A1-C2 level) for various ages. I incorporate a wide range of technology in my teaching.

In my private life, I have three grown-up bilingual children and enjoy my hobbies: music, ballet, baking, cooking, gardening, crafting, reading, and watching movies. Most importantly, I am a huge animal lover!
