"My name is Kenny R., and I would absolutely love to work with you! While able to help with all music subjects and instruments K-12, my specialties include Brass, Piano, Theory, Aural Skills, and Arranging. I have performed and recorded with a variety of groups throughout the U.S. and Europe, including orchestras, bands, jazz bands, hip-hop groups and artists, rock bands, etc. I currently teach at the University of North Texas, Parlando School for the Arts, 3 high schools, and a middle school and absolutely love teaching groups and lessons. My various and diverse experiences will help bring a patient and understanding attitude to working with students while always maintaining and communicating high expectations. I focus significantly on practice and performance habits so that the student musician can learn effectively on their own, and so their practice translates to performance effortlessly.

I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon and most recently earned my Master's degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. Both degrees are in Music Performance and Pedagogy. My professors and teachers that I have learned from have changed my life significantly both as a human and a musician, and I aim to do the same for the rest of my life. I am a full time music teacher who cares deeply about my students and the performance opportunities I receive. I have won numerous competitions and have a strong pedagogy base that any brass, aural skills, or theory student can benefit from.
