"I am an elementary education (K-8) major at Montana State University. When I was in high school I worked as a tutor for children in 5th grade in math and science. I was originally an engineering student so I have quite a bit of experience in both science and math. I have been a snowboard instructor for three years so I do have experience with teaching children of all ages a task. I love to make learning exciting and strive to always make sure the child feels empowered!

I have taken all science courses that were available in my high school; physics and the world, environmental science, AP Biology as well as a few others. I have a passion for science and have been asked to help out in a 6th-grade science classroom when I return home in May. I also took Microbiology my first year of college. I believe that my experience and excitement are attributes that qualify me to tutor biology.

I am currently enrolled in a college writing course "Writing about Writing". I have always loved writing but have also struggled a bit and had to overcome that. It was my senior year when I finally had a teacher who truly helped me to improve my writing. It was a very empowering moment for me and I believe that struggle will help me to connect with students going through a similar situation.

I am an elementary education major and spent most of my high school year either teaching snowboarding lessons or taking care of two young children who I was constantly engaging in learning activities with such as reading and writing. I aspire to be a kindergarten or first-grade teacher who lays a solid groundwork for future education and most importantly helps students get excited and curious about learning.
