"I have just received my MBA from St. Andrews University with a concentration in Management. I also played 4 years of baseball at the collegiate level, finishing with All-Academic and All-Conference awards. That is just the boring stuff though! I have coached kids from ages 8-18 for over 6 years now and I thoroughly enjoy passing what I know and what I've learned on to those who truly want or need my help.

If I'm being honest, I think that I get my passion of teaching/tutoring from my mom. She has taught in Pender County for nearly 30 years! Year after year I see her come home with presents from students and parents on her birthday and for holidays. I know it feels incredible to impact so many people in a positive way. Honestly, she would probably disown me if I ever became a teacher, but I do know that with all of my experiences and everything that I have learned, it would be a disservice to not pass it along.

Nearly every finance class that I ever took in business school was taken from basic algebra. I continue to use algebra nearly every day. I have also helped my mother with elementary math. If things ever got boring, and oh they did, I would help my mom grade homework, tests, and everything else you can think of.

In undergraduate and graduate school, proofreading and public speaking became absolutely vital to my success inside the classroom. I had to reread and rewrite dozens of business plans and proposals. Working with groups was even harder because the paper would not be cohesive. It was my job to make our paper or proposal come together as a single fluid idea. The thing that I am most proud of is my personal development in regards to public speaking. I learned everything from pitch, tone, body language, presentation, and delivery. As i became a more successful speaker then I found that my personal relationships also continued to improve. This is something that is close to the heart and I know I can teach this.
