"Greetings! I'm Dr. A., an Internal Medicine resident! I graduated Cum Laude in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I graduated from medical school this year, and also obtained my MS in Nutrition. My interest in tutoring and teaching others stems from my passion for science; I want everybody to know just how cool science is and have them become just as passionate as me! My model of teaching biology, which is modifiable per student and subject, begins with an overview of the topic. After that, we will dive into the hard "details," and later resurface to reexamine the overall "big picture." Sometimes in science, or any subject really, it is easy to get lost in the details. My qualifications arise from my personal background and countless hours spent learning various subjects in science and math. I have experience teaching biology [genetics, evolution, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and general biology] to peers below me in college. During my Junior year in college, I had the privilege to research under my organic chemistry professor and help contribute to an ongoing project that involved computational organic chemistry. During this time, I was also studying for the MCAT and taking 20 credit hours of science and math classes. Needless to say, I have adapted to a busy and voluminous schedule; which I have utilized to my advantage in medical school. I am currently a first year medical resident! Every day I study and learn something new about science and and how it relates to medicine. This makes me an excellent teacher: I am, and always will be a "student," and I personally know how difficult it can be. I am able to understand and foresee the thought processes that students have while learning, and the roadblocks, or questions that arise, because I hav" less...
