"My name is Caroline! I received my undergraduate degree from Columbia University in Music with a specialization in K-12 General Education. I later earned a masters and doctoral degree from the Eastman School of Music in Flute Performance and Pedagogy. I have over 10 years of experience professionally tutoring K-8 students in reading, writing, math, and study skills. I have over 15 years of experience teaching music literacy as well as flute lessons to students of all ages, and I am currently employed at a university where I provide college and graduate school application counseling as well as career counseling to students.

Every student is in need of a different tutoring approach, and I work closely with parents (and schoolteachers/other tutors as necessary) to craft a tutoring curriculum that works for each student. I aim to build long-term connections with each of my students, and take great pride in their successes. For clients working with me for career development and college counseling, I employ Design Thinking and Motivational Interviewing to have the process be student-led and teacher-faciliated.

I have an undergraduate specialization in K-12 General Education, and have been tutoring K-6 students in all academic subjects, music, and study skills for over ten years.
