"Hihi! My name is Peter and I graduated with a dual Bachelor's in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology and Biology from Washington University in St. Louis. Afterwards, I pursued a Master's in Biophysics and Physiology at Georgetown University. During my education, I have come to LEARN TWO things (among some others I guess hahaha). First- teachers who are more engaging, adaptable. and funny are those are better educators. Oftentimes these traits create a fun learning experience which can lead to innate motivation for the subject material. Keeping that warm welcoming environment and increasing motivation help the student retain more information for future success! Secondly- people have stylistic different approaches to teaching/learning, for instance what one thing works for one student may not work for another. We have all heard about audio vs visual learners but that is only scratching the tip of the iceberg in terms of studying retention and preferences!

Knowledge Base: For the last two years in high school I attended a charter school at Lamar University on the President's Honor Roll every semester, taking Calculus I, II and III before graduating high school and furthered that understanding during my time at WashU. While many can claim they excelled well in math classes, I competed in Math and Science (UIL and TMSCA) during middle school and high school, earning state level accolades. I received a 99% on my SAT and had acceptances from Ivy League schools but ultimately decided to attend Washington University in St. Louis (at that time ranked 11th at USA news). Originally thinking of pursuing a degree in Medicine, I completed my MCAT (95% percentile) and was enrolled at FIU HWCOM before withdrawing because I do not see my future in that direction.
