"I was trained as a scientist and have worked as a scientist or process engineer for my entire career. I've always enjoyed teaching/training colleagues, so I am confident that working as a tutor will be a satisfying experience.

My previous experience as a tutor has been limited to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calc, chemistry and physics. I was an outstanding student in high school and graduated as the valedictorian of my class.

Although math and science subjects always came easily to me, my fellow students often struggled. When I began to tutor, I found that a minor misunderstanding of a concept was usually the main cause of the student's difficulties. I have found that discovering the gaps in understanding is a critical step in the tutoring process.
