"I am a Yale and Berkeley educated PhD student (and Fulbright recipient) who has taught Japanese language and culture at the college level and taught Japanese for IB exams in Japanese at the high school level. I have also tutored privately for almost a decade.

Additionally, I received a perfect GRE writing score and got into the majority of the graduate programs I applied to, including Ivy League Colleges (UPenn, Yale) before deciding to go to Berkeley.

I have extensive experience reading and writing, having focused on the humanities for the better part of my life. My perfect GRE Writing score reflects this. I also, due to my theatre training, have comprehensive knowledge of the English canon (with obvious emphasis on theatrical works).

I have been dealing with ADHD all of my life, with my diagnosis around the age of 6 or 7. Nonetheless, I not only graduated out of my high school in the honors society, but also did a MA at Yale and am working on my PhD at Berkeley. I did this while unmedicated, since ADHD medications cause heart problems for me. I can teach these strategies to any ADHD student who is struggling in a world that, sadly, isn't built for their neurodivergence.
