MOTTO:

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”

MISSION :

To transform students into independent learners.

METHOD:

I am a results-based individual with high standards. One client has described me as “hell bent” in maximizing my students' potential. My approach is highly individualized and takes into consideration other factors that affect student performance (anxiety, poor foundation, discouragement). I look to do more than improve a single test performance by motivating a student to work more independently and eventually be able to succeed without outside help. I also work closely with parents to ensure the best learning environment is created for the student and to receive feedback to make sure our goals are aligned.

Examples:

Physics --> Greater focus on vectors and calculus concepts even for those not taking calculus-based physics. Allows students to began thinking in a more abstract fashion before they approach the core laws in physics.

Inorganic Chemistry --> Emphasize dimensional analysis (understanding units) over equation memorization. Describe the molecular basis for macroscopic concepts (ex. Titration curves).

Organic Chemistry --> Significant time spent on rebuilding the inorganic chemistry foundation. Being able to utilize acid-base chemistry and equilibrium concepts help students with the intimidation factor of organic chemistry and with learning

GROUP RATES OFFERED AT DISCOUNT:

Although one-on-one instruction is optimal for most applications there are few exceptions where I would suggest working with a partner (maximum group of 3), particularly when learning biology, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and physics for the first time. Group rates can be offered for most s" less...
