"Hello. I am a native of Rajasthan, India. I pursued my B.S in Chemistry (2016) from Hindu College, University of Delhi, and subsequently received an M. S in chemistry (2018) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. As part of my master's thesis, my research was focused on cyclic di GMP signaling in E.coli. Currently, at Hopkins, I am working on studying the polynomial structures and their role in protein folding using nanopore sequencing. In my free time, I like running. I am a yogi. And I am overall a very happy person.
I have two years of experience teaching elementary school maths and science to a group of 3-4 students back in India. I use lesson plans to deliver material effectively in a limited time. I had tutored 2 students in their senior year of high school in 12th grade for Chemistry. At Hopkins, I was a Teaching Assistant for 2 years (2019-2021) for an Introductory course in Chemistry for freshman year students. I use to hold office hours every week helping students with the class material, their homework, and exam preparation.
I used to hate math until one of my uncles started teaching me and I realized how beautiful it is to solve puzzles, problems, math queries. Math made me realize how important calculations are in life to keep a balance. I love math so I think am a great one to teach it to someone in the way I learned.
I love Science, the fact that I am doing a Ph.D. explains that I breathe Science because it is the most logical thing in this entire world. I love to share this great joy with other students and help them achieve what they desire.
I am an Indian citizen. I was born in Rajasthan, a Hindi-speaking state, and I spent 23 years of my life speaking and breathing Hindi.
I love to read. And I know how to be patient and give the student needed time to achieve their natural pace and listen to themselves while speaking, which is so important.
I managed to come to the US for Ph.D. , thanks to Hopkins for providing me 100% scholarship. I can help you." less...
