I taught computer things like keyboarding, the Microsoft programs: Word, Excel and PowerPoint and a few other things like how to search for things online effectively. I am the proud holder of several degrees. I have an associate degree in Criminal Justice, a bachelor degree in Criminal Justice, teaching certification in business and a masters degree in education.
I am currently working for the newspaper in my hometown so I have been forced to learn how to use an Apple computer and with that the Adobe InDesign and Photoshop programs. I do readily admit that I don't know all there is to know about these programs, I do know more than I did six months ago! So I guess what I am trying to say is if you need some help with learning something fun like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or Excel or other computer stuff I'm your guy (or gal) if you have some basic InDesign or Photoshop questions I will give it a shot or we can stumble along in those programs together and figure them out.
What makes me an outstanding computer tutor? I am definitely not your average teacher. I did not grow up saying, "I want to be a teacher when I grow up." I have no idea how I ended up teaching. I'm not saying that I didn't like it, I really enjoyed that fact that there was something new everyday. When dealing with teenagers you never know what you going to get, so that was exciting and seeing that look on a student's face when you taught them something was amazing. Getting to know the kids was a blast and a lot of them never forget you. Living in a small town I run into past students all the time and they usually speak.
