"I have been an elementary teacher for 39 years at various schools at the K-2 level. Most of my experience in teaching language arts was using the whole language approach. This approach is an integration of reading, writing and spelling. During my last 15 or so years of teaching I taught using the Reading and Writing Workshop method.

I earned most of my post graduate credits in reading and writing. Recently I was part of our school's MIBLISE team, which was an initiative for reading and behavioral support.
