"My name is Gregory. I graduated salutorian from the Science and Technology Magnet High School of South Eastern Connecticut, with a 4.0 unweighted GPA. In high school I took AP Calculus AB and scored a 4/5 on the exam. I am extremely proficient in math, having taken classes up to Calculus 4 and Differential Equations. I am currently enrolled at the University of New Haven while working full time. I previously attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, on an academic scholarship but then I decided I would like to be closer to home while also finding a career in the engineering and manufacturing industry. Currently at the University of New Haven I have maintained a solid 3.5 GPA . At University of New Haven I am currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.
I previously tutored for students in grades 6 through 8 for math and science classes. I currently tutor the athletes at New London High School as well as students and athletes at the Science and Technology Magnet High School of Southeastern CT. I mainly tutor students in math subjects such as prealgebra all the way up to AP calculus.
My teaching approach consists of trying to make the math problems and math equations relatable to students based on hobbies or activities those students enjoy. I find if a student can make sense or relate it to things within their own life then it makes comprehension that's much easier. I take pride in seeing a students face light up when the problem they were previously struggling with finally makes sense.
Feel free to contact me to learn more, I can do Calculus lessons as well but would like advance notice and what your currently learning in order to properly prepare." less...
