"I love teaching and delivering results to those seeking to learn another language or who need to pass the USCIS citizenship exam. My teaching experience in Spanish, English as a Second Language, and Citizenship spans over 16 years. I employ a practical, fun, hands-on approach so each student can relate to the subject matter.

Regarding the Spanish language, I hold a B.A. in Spanish, have worked with local colleges and schools, and am thoroughly familiar with the Spanish culture. I lived in Spain for many years and have lived and traveled in Latin America as well.

I specialize in working with students, children and adults who need help in becoming proficient. This includes elementary through college students (including IB) or adults pursuing conversational Spanish. Homeschoolers have a great time learning the basics with fun activities and getting full immersion from home.

For those of you whose native language is not English, if you wish to improve your conversational skills, grammar, reading or written English, I will be happy to assist you reach your goals. For over 16 years, here and abroad, I have been teaching all levels of the English language at local universities, companies (corporate training) and in public schools, and formerly directed a university English as a Second or Other Language (ESOL) program before moving abroad. With my extensive training, I will be able to quickly assess your current level and help you gain confidence and reach your goals.

If you are preparing for your USCIS exams, I will be help you learn where you are deficient for your interview or other parts of the exam (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension or civics) and train you in those areas so that you can quickly improve and pass the exam. Additionally, I will provide you with mock interviews so that you will be confident going into your interview and prepared to defend your application.
