"Hi there! My name is Chelsea, and I am an attorney working in Charlotte, North Carolina. I work primarily in the practice areas of business and securities law. A very large portion of my practice involves reading comprehension, writing, and public speaking, so I am very qualified to assist students in these areas. I also have extensive experience in mock trial and Model United Nations coaching for interested students. Over the last 10+ years, I have tutored and coached numerous students. I believe in empowering students by giving them the tools and resources to comprehend facts and apply those facts in the contexts of comprehension, drafting, and/or public speaking.

In my spare time, I love to cook foods from different cultures, read (my goal is 3 books per month!), attend yoga classes, and spend time with my two rescue cats. I am also currently working towards earning my LL.M degree, so my brain is actively in school-mode, which helps with tutoring students!

I have significant experience in all aspects of reading, writing, literature, public speaking, and vocabulary. My undergraduate degree required extensive reading, writing, research, and public speaking. I also participated in numerous mock trial competitions and coached other mock trial students in public speaking skills in law school. Later, I tutored fellow law students on bar exam study. Finally, my practice as a lawyer involves substantial reading, writing, and public speaking requirements.

With regards to tutoring children, I worked as a nanny for several years for a family with four children from elementary to middle school age. I assisted them regularly with their reading and writing skills. I also volunteered for several summers for the YMCA's Y Readers program, which was a program that allowed qualified community volunteers to work with elementary-age students on their reading skills on a weekly basis.

Please reach out to me for your tutoring or coaching needs. I look forward to working with you!" less...
