"Hello! My name is Danielle and my goal in life was to always be a teacher! After college that goal was met as I was a Psychology instructor at a few local colleges. While working at a college I was given the opportunity to become a Learning Support Specialist which gave me the opportunity to use both of my degrees in one career. I worked with students with disabilities on "leveling the playing field" as we worked together to come up with new skills based on their specific learning style and nature of their disability. I am experienced in everything from organization, executive functioning and time management to reading, writing, test, and study skills. I treat each and every student as the unique individual they are and come up with a plan that meets their specific needs!
Not only do I have experience with college student but my Bachelor's Degree has also trained me to work with school-aged students. During this time of Covid and virtual/hybrid learning I realize that many parents may be looking for a little assistance with their students. Perhaps its difficult to help your student organize? Or maybe he/she is having a touch time paying attention? I am hoping I can be a valuable resource for the adults who are trying their absolute best to shuffle all of this. I am available to meet with parents to provide consultation, support, advice, and specific strategies, meet with students directly or a bit of both! Since it is a difficult time we can meet via zoom or any other virtual way everyone is comfortable with. I look forward to the opportunity to help!!
