"Welcome to my bio. If you are looking for a tutor in the Language Arts, I can help. I taught in the public system for ten years. I then moved into the private sector to teach and later moved into directing a full-fledged early education facility for another 3.5 years. I also enjoy freelance writing and have several children's articles published in magazines like Highlights for Children.

My heart goes out to students who struggle with writing and reading. Both of these activities come naturally for me and I enjoy them immensely. Giving willing students and opportunity to fall in love with my own passions excites me. I prefer to meet in a public setting such as a library. Considering that I live in the Jacksonville vicinity, meeting in Bullard at the city library may be appropriate for parents in south Tyler.

My own passion for communication skills such as writing gives me an edge. Additionally, the joys I get from reading and writing help me translate well to students. I have taught varying ages--high school down to elementary. I have also worked with numerous students in UIL competition areas such as ready writing, spelling, and impromptu speaking.
