"I'm Elizabeth, a clinical psychologist who loves to teach and learn. I started off as an Environmental Engineering major at Johns Hopkins University before realizing that my true passion was Psychology. I went on to get a master's of education at Harvard University in 2014 with a specialization in Human Development and Psychology, and subsequently pursued my doctorate in School & Clinical Child Psychology at Yeshiva University. I graduated with my PsyD in 2019.
In college, I tutored my peers in Statistics through my school's "Learning Den." Between college and graduate school, I spent a year nannying full-time (where I provided frequent homework help!) and a year teaching English to middle school students in Israel. In more recent years, I've acquired experience tutoring middle, high school, college, and adult students in Statistics, Psychology, Pre-algebra and Algebra, and Study Skills. I spent my internship year working with special needs children at a residential treatment center, and I am currently working in private practice (specializing in work with eating disorders) as well as at a virtual eating disorder treatment center. My favorite subjects to tutor are Psychology and Algebra - my only regret in becoming a psychologist is that I don't get to use more math in my daily work!
I love working with kids and adults alike and do my best to make lessons engaging and fun. I am very patient and very reliable, and I care a lot about helping my students learn. I tailor my tutoring approach to each individual student and love to be creative. I do my best to respond to all requests within a few hours. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson!" less...
