"Although I obtained my teaching certification in 2010 I have a great deal of experience working and volunteering with young children. I substitute teach, taught Prep for 9 years, have volunteered in many capacities and have 4 children of my own. I am a kind and patient teacher who loves to help students better themselves.

I am a true believer in making learning fun! I love to incorporate manipulatives while teaching math. I feel that if you can see it and/or feel it, you can remember it better. That is why I try to make learning math as hands on as possible.

I am an avid reader with tons of books in my home. I have read to my children for many years. Trying to find books that appeal to your child's interests, both in and out of school will be my goal. I will try my best to help make reading fun!

Science was always one of my favorite subjects. I find helping students discover how and why things work to be very exciting. Science is a great hands on subject. Another wonderful opportunity to use manipulatives while learning. Incorporating games while teaching spelling is one of favorite ways to teach this subject. Who doesn't want to have some fun while learning?

Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. My goal is to use your child's strengths to help them overcome their weaknesses.
