"Writing in both creative and persuasive forms has been fascinating to me since I was a child growing up in Budapest, Hungary. As my skill and style began to develop, I found myself comfortably at the front of the pack at my High School. English teachers had a fondness for my drive to go beyond the common effort of my classmates and invest myself heavily in whatever poem we were writing or classic we were analyzing. Fellow classmates would occasionally witness my performance in class or see a grade I got on an assignment and would ask my advice on the next project, or ask me to proofread their paper. This practice of helping classmates spilled over into my college years and now I've been doing this sort-of unofficial tutoring for much of my adult life. Now I'd like to turn my skills to official use.

The cornerstone of being an excellent English tutor is passion. At the end of the day, a proficient writer won't be able to teach effective, long-lasting lessons if they don't have a creative, engaging attitude toward the process. I haven't lost an ounce of fascination for literary classics, mythologies, and other literary forms. In my free time, you can often catch me with my nose in a work by Faulkner, Joyce, or Sillitoe (likely one I've already read). Every time I crack open a literary world I feel a surge of adventure and creative potential-- an attitude I'd like to share with my students and foster in them so that they develop a similar drive to keep delving into the written word. Growing up, my parents were avid bible readers and our in-depth Sunday study sessions have also left me with a reasonable knowledge of biblical stories and verses. Although I'm not fluent in Spanish, I have a great understanding of basic grammar, conjugation, and vocabulary that allows me to communicate with most Spanish speakers. Overall, I'm confident instructing in various areas outside of English- I have a strong scientific and critical thinking background as well.

It would be my absolute pleasure to connect with you and discu" less...
