I gained my teaching credential from Lander University and the found a job teaching high school students at a Montessori charter school, which provided me an opportunity to begin practicing really innovative and student-centered methods of teaching and learning.

I try to connect social studies content to what is going on in my students' lives and the world that they are living in. I try to use pop culture and humor to get the content of my classes across to my students and help them to understand what they are learning in a deeper way." less...
