"Hello! My name is Asia and received my B.A. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. I also have my M.A. in Legal and Forensic Psychology from the University of California, Irvine (UCI).
My teaching experience includes graduate level statistical data analysis, specifically Exploratory Factor Analysis, and undergraduate level Abnormal Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Forensic Psychology, and Research Methods. I have also lead various workshops on academic paper structure and have been published in four issues of UNLV's "Connections" Newsletter. I have also presented my research at two national psychology conferences. I love teaching and tutoring because I believe that "knowledge is power." I, myself was tutored in middle school and high school. From my experiences as student being tutored, I was left in shock at how much my grades and my hunger for learning had grown. Therefore, my tutoring philosophy is to provide learning materials in a straightforward way that anyone can understand.
I believe that there is always something new to learn - no matter what age or level of education. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions about the subjects I teach or if you'd like to learn more about how I can help you reach your academic goals!" less...
