"I am an experienced businessman with additional training in corporate, military, and the public educational system. I am currently and active substitute teacher in the Appo school district and this year have taught in all 3 Appo middle schools, and grades K-8 this school year so far. I have an engineering background and specialize in math and science but teach most subjects including computer technology.

Too many times students feel that studying is boring and frustrating so it is important to find what is special with every student in terms of what motivates them to determine the best method of teaching them so they can relate to the material and retain the information. Learning is a lifetime experience and never ends no matter our age.

Strong math background from my previous engineering background and always loved math because understanding the equations is the key element to solving the problems. The numbers never lie, they just prove theories.

I am very patient and try to understand people and the key is when teaching any age, is to "know your audience" and work to that level. Talking over someone's head to seem impressive helps nobody so understanding your audience allows for the best method of learning to occur." less...
