"I am Thomas, a highly motivated, positive, and professional teacher with years of coaching and mentoring experience. I am currently in the process of having my California social studies and English language arts teaching license transferred to Pennsylvania. After successful and honorable tours of duty in the United States Marine Corps, where I learned valuable leadership and team building skills, I graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in history. I finished with a 3.8 GPA in my major, minors in Political Science and English, and a 3.4 GPA overall. In 2013, I moved to San Diego, California where I enrolled in a teacher credential if and masters program at California State University San Marcos. CSUSM is considered to be the most challenging and reputable teaching program in Southern California. While living in California, I taught American Government, English 10, and World History in 2 different schools. In addition to teaching I have also have 10 years of coaching experience in; football, baseball, basketball, wrestling, and Rugby at all age levels ranging from elementary to college athletes.

As an educator and coach, I have had success with students and athletes from all walks of life. Classrooms that have included; English language learners, behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, physically challenged, and criminal backgrounds. I have succeeded academically and athletically throughout my education but it has not been without struggle. I firmly believe this has helped me significantly as a teacher and coach, because it was not easy for me I am better equipped to help others who struggle. It has been my passion, pursuit, and dedication to life-long learning that have learned the necessary skills to succeed in the classroom, on the field, and beyond. I will work relentlessly to utilize the skills and methods I've learned and sharpened through experience to empower you to achieve your goals.
