"I love helping people solve problems using math and computer applications. While I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, in my career I developed expertise to help my employers improve processes and efficiency through data analysis and decision-making support. This required a unique balance of math skills, computer skills and business knowledge. I enjoy helping others learn and apply these skills.

I enjoy trying to present math concepts in a unique manner to try to connect with the student. Textbooks and online courses usually only present a problem from one point of view and that one size fits all approach simply doesn't work for everyone.

I am now semi-retired and provide private tutoring to help share my skills and experience. In addition to private tutoring, I am a GED math instructor for a local organization and a part-time tutor at a community college. This has given me a chance to work with a diverse group of students on a wide variety of math related subjects. This is challenging but also very rewarding and helps keep me sharp. On an annual basis I spend a minimum of 1200 hours teaching and tutoring.

I pride myself on being patient and working hard to tailor my tutoring to the needs of the student.
